Welcome

The National Shelley China Club (NSCC) is a collectors club founded in 1990. A small group of Shelley lovers and collectors living in the Pacific Northwest began meeting to share information and their love of Shelley pottery and Shelley fine bone china produced in England during the period of the late 1800s to the mid 1900s when the pottery existed and was operated by Percy Shelley and/or his son James. The National Shelley China Club has grown to 600+ members in the United States and six countries around the world, with many original charter members belonging to the club.

The NSCC is a non-profit organization. Revenue is generated by annual dues, merchandise sales, as well as donations. Funds are budgeted each year for a national conference within the United States and to maintain publication of a quarterly newsletter filled with informative articles about Shelley and Wileman (the predecessor to Shelley), regional meetings, sales, and events. The arrival of the newsletter is eagerly anticipated by the membership each quarter.

The club operates under a set of bylaws. Officers of the club which include a president, vice president, secretary and a treasurer with a board of directors representing different areas of the country working as advisors to the president are elected to serve a term.

Our Bylaws say it well:

"The National Shelley China Club is a non-profit organization administered through an all volunteer initiative dedicated to promote interest, education, and research regarding Shelley Potteries. It is committed to being a preeminent organization responsive to its members."
